Ayurveda and Your Life Energy
In the realm of Ayurveda, the key to good health lies in the harmonious balance of mind, body, and spirit with the universe. When this equilibrium is disrupted, whether due to genetic factors, injuries, climate variations, age, or emotional imbalances, illness may ensue.
At our Ayurveda retreat in Sri Lanka, we embrace the ancient wisdom that views every individual as a unique combination of the five fundamental elements: space, air, fire, water, and earth. These elements amalgamate within the human body to manifest three vital life forces, or doshas: Vata dosha (space and air), Pitta dosha (fire and water), and Kapha dosha (water and earth).
It is believed that each person inherits a distinctive blend of these doshas, with one typically exerting a more dominant influence. Each dosha governs specific bodily functions, and the balance among them is intricately linked to one’s susceptibility to illness and the nature of health issues that may arise.
